Preforming Coach/Improv Teacher
Hi, I’m Nir Kitaro performer and producer, I spent the last 15 years traveling the world, preforming and learning many vocal and acting techniques. I started my career in Opera (countertenor) but soon found that my joy is in musical theatre, I worked and performed at a small theatre until I moved to New York City to further my training and graduate top of my class from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA). Soon after, I was lucky enough to work off-broadway. Later, I moved to London where I continued to work both as a performer and a producer in film, TV and musical theatre, I produced and performed Ordinary Days on London’s West End and even found myself performing on a cruise ship for 11 months. I am excited to share my experience, knowledge and love for the performing arts with anyone and everyone! I am so excited to join the staff of Upper Merion Performing Arts this summer, a program I would have loved to see here when I was younger. I am currently a Sophomore at Upper Merion High School and a member of the Upper Merion Underground Players. I was in the dance corps and played Lizzie Thurman in their recent production of Mean Girls. I developed my love of theatre for many summers as a camper at Wolf Performing Arts Center where I have helped other young people discover theatre as a Counselor in Training the last two summers where I did everything from help choreograph, stage manage, handle props and more. I have trained in theatre for 8 years and in dance for 13. I train in voice with Lexi Schreiber and Lauren Krigel at Wolf Performing Arts Center. I train in ballet and jazz at Macrina Academy of Dance and in tap with Sarah Logan at The Studio of Valley Forge. I can't wait to dive in and create with the campers this summer!
